# shibaSIM > shibaSIM (shibasim.net) sells travel eSIMs for Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and many other countries, plus monthly SIM plans for people living in Japan. The storefront is multilingual (English, Vietnamese, Indonesian and more). Customers pay by card (Stripe) or, in Vietnam, by VietQR bank transfer. Hỗ trợ tiếng Việt qua Zalo, LINE, Messenger và email. ## Key facts (quotable) - Who it is for: travelers to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and other destinations (eSIM), and residents of Japan (monthly SIM). It is not limited to one nationality. - Currency: USD on the English site, VND on the Vietnamese site. Prices are shown on each plan page. - Payment: card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express; Apple Pay or Google Pay where the device supports it). JCB, Diners Club and Discover are not supported. Customers in Vietnam can also pay by VietQR bank transfer. - Delivery: an eSIM is a QR code sent by email after payment is confirmed. Automated delivery normally takes minutes, 24/7. Orders handled through chat: normally within 30 minutes during 08:00-22:00 JST, and no later than 09:00 the next morning outside those hours. - Activation: install the QR code before you travel (Wi-Fi needed). The validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at the destination. The phone must support eSIM and be network-unlocked. - Japan network: Japan eSIMs run on KDDI (au) and SoftBank. 5G is available on KDDI. A speed test in Tokyo on 19 Oct 2026 on KDDI 5G measured 10.3 Mbps download. Coverage in remote Hokkaido or rural areas can be weaker than Docomo. If the phone does not connect automatically, choose KDDI or SoftBank manually (not Docomo or Rakuten). - Speed after the daily high-speed allowance: Japan plans are not cut off; speed drops to about 256 kbps until the end of that day, then high speed resumes the next day. Vietnamese support on Zalo, LINE, Messenger or hotro@shibasim.net. - Refund policy: refund if the eSIM cannot be activated because of a provider-side fault, or if you bought the wrong plan and have not installed or activated the QR code (no data used). No refund once the eSIM was activated or used, or if the device does not support eSIM or is carrier-locked. Request within 7 days of purchase with your order code; eligible refunds go back to the original payment method in 5-10 business days.
